How to Recover Your Facebook Password without Email and Phone Number

In this day and age, it’s not uncommon to forget passwords. Even if Facebook is the only social media account you use, if you change your password frequently or prefer to use complex passwords, losing access to your account is a big possibility.

The conventional methods of recovering a Facebook password involve using registered email addresses or phone numbers. But what if you no longer have access to these? Keep reading and we’ll show you how you can recover a Facebook password when email and phone number options are not available.

1. Use an Alternate Email or Phone Number

If you have an alternate email or phone number listed on your account, you can use these to reset your password. Facebook will use them to confirm that the account is yours, send you verification codes, and ultimately finish your account recovery. Go to facebook.com/login/identify and follow the instructions to reset your account.

2. Contacting Facebook Support

If you don’t have any alternate email or phone number, reaching out to Facebook support might be your last resort. The customer service team will ask you questions and have you verify information to help confirm that you are the account holder.

They don’t offer a guaranteed solution, and there is a chance your account may be permanently lost, since Facebook may decide to err on the side of caution if you’re unable to provide the necessary information. Even still, they may be able to provide assistance if you can prove your identity:

  1. Visit the Facebook Help Center.
  2. Go to “Login and Password” on the left side menu.
  3. Click on “Fix a Login Problem”.
  4. On the page, click on “Recover Your Account If You Can’t Access the Email or Mobile Number on the Account”.
  5. Follow the prompts based on your individual circumstance.

3. Can A Trusted Contact Help Me Get Into My Account?

In the past, Facebook had a feature where you could designate trusted contacts that would help you regain access to your account. Unfortunately, this feature is no longer available for account privacy and security reasons, so the above two methods are the only two ways to recover your Facebook password.
