When your email is queued, that means it’s stuck in the outbox, a temporary folder that emails go to while they’re in the process of getting sent. There are many reasons as to why an email would get queued, but even if the exact problem is solved, the email may still not get sent right away. 

To find the outbox and manually send a queued email across different email providers and on mobile, follow these next steps:

How to Send a Queued Email in Outlook Live

Outlook Live doesn’t have a dedicated outbox folder. Whenever your emails have problems getting sent, they stay in your drafts until the problem is resolved or you send it manually.

  1. Go to Outlook Live and sign in.
  2. On the folders list to the left and click the ‘Drafts’ folder.
  3. Open the email you want to send.
  4. Click ‘Send.’

How to Send a Queued Email on the Outlook App

To handle this problem on your phone, you can:

  1. Go to the Outlook App and sign in.
  2. Tap the Outlook icon at the top left corner to view your folders.
  3. Tap ‘Drafts.’
  4. Open the email you want to send.
  5. Tap ‘Send.’

How to Send a Queued Email in Gmail

From your computer browser, you should:

  1. Go to Gmail and sign in.
  2. In the search bar, type ‘in:outbox’ to see all the emails in your outbox.
  3. Open the one you want to send.
  4. Click ‘Send.’

How to Send a Queued Email in the Gmail App

To complete the same process from your phone, you can:

  1. Go to the Gmail app and sign in.
  2. You’ll see a notification at the top of your inbox, telling you how many emails you have in queue. Tap that notification.
  3. Tap the email you want to send to open it.
  4. Tap ‘Send.’

How to Send a Queued Email in Apple Mail

From your computer’s Apple Mail platform, you should:

  1. Sign into your Apple Mail account.
  2. On the left folders list, click ‘Outbox.’ You will only see it if you have at least one email in the queue, so if the outbox isn’t there, the email was already sent.
  3. Open the email you wish to send.
  4. Click ‘Send.’

How to Send a Queued Email in Apple Mail on iPhone

This can also be done from your phone. You can simply:

  1. Go to the Apple Mail app on your phone.
  2. Tap ‘Mailboxes’ at the top left.
  3. Tap ‘Outbox’ which will only appear if you have an email in the queue.
  4. Open the email you wish to send.
  5. ‘Click ‘Send.’
